**Update on exam short essays:
There will be 4 short essay questions on the exam. You will have to write two; one from each category
Category 1
- Compare the authoritarian regimes of Italy, Germany and Japan in the years preceding WWII.
- Compare the ideologies that were used to justify the slaughter of civilians at Treblinka and during the Rape of Nanking.
- Explain Britain's use of the appeasement policy and how it failed.
- Compare the leadership of three countries involved in WWII, including at least one from each alliance. (Britain, US, Russia - German, Italy, Japan)
