Week of March 18

Well we have just about wrapped up the third quarter. Looking to the fourth quarter, the AP exam is only 8 weeks away. You have demonstrated the ability to write well under timed conditions - good job with that. This week we will begin discussing the twentieth century. There is a lot to talk about, and we will also spend some time on review, so get ready to make that final push toward the big test. Pay particular attention to the Reilly readings this week - we will have some class discussions around very important concepts from those readings.

Welcome back from winter break. We are planning to hit the ground running this week. We'll complete the third quarter with a unit on 19th century imperialism before moving on to the world war era in late-March, early-April. Take notice that the reading load is increasing as we get into Heart of Darkness over the next two weeks.
