Reading and Prep for Friday, January 14th

Please read Reilly 832-845 and prepare an outline for the in-class essay on Friday. You will be able to use the outline to write the essay, and must turn it in for 20% of the grade. If anyone would like some feedback on the outline before actually writing the essay, I will be available on Thursday during Tutorial, 3rd & 4th blocks, and after school.

Reading and homework for Wed, Jan. 12th

Please read Reilly 818-832. I suggest you read the Cannadine piece first, then read Orwell. Refer to the essay prompt handed out Monday, and begin to prepare your outline for Friday's essay. On Wednesday we will discuss the readings and work with the outline to prepare for the essay. Also on Wednesday you will need to turn in the following list of ids from the last two classes:

Reading for Tuesday, January 4th

Hopefully everyone is resting up over the break. I imagine you are just itching to learn some more world history. So before we come back to school please read Strayer 589-598. Happy holidays.

Homework for the week of December 13th

For class on Wednesday please prepare as much as possible for the exam on Friday. We will set aside the whole period for review, but the session will be most effective if you bring specific questions with you. See you then.

Assignments for Friday and Tuesday

For Friday, Dec. 3rd, please compile the list of identification terms for chapter 18 handed out earlier this week. You do not have to submit the ones for chapter 17 that are also on the list. On Friday in class you will spend the entire period writing a Document Based Question essay. The essay will be graded, but all of the information you will need to write it will be in the documents provided, so you don't have to study anything or bring any outside knowledge.
